Media Console

This media console was my very first and admittedly ambitious, woodworking project. As a lifelong movie lover, I wanted a way to store my collection that was both easy to access and elegantly hidden.
With only cheap composites and traditional styles available, I set out to create something chic and modern with a warm and approachable feel. The body is crafted from rich mahogany plywood, paired with solid ash wood drawer fronts for natural contrast. Organic-shaped gold hardware softens the look, while simple gold legs lift the piece with an understated touch.
Each drawer glides on full-extension slides, with dividers inside to hold discs spine-up, making it effortless to browse without ever cluttering the surface. While not as advanced as my current works, it was a crucial step and learning experience in my journey as a woodworker.
