Cutting Boards

A selection of handcrafted boards made from carefully chosen wood species, each with its own characteristics. Over the years I’ve created some for my own kitchen, others for friends and clients, each one unique, functional, and one-of-a-kind

Maple and Walnut End Grain Board

20" x 15" – 1.5" thick

By far the largest block I’ve made to date. A work horse in the kitchen there is little this board can’t handle.

Ambrosia Maple End Grain Board

12" x 16" – 1.5" thick

Crafted from ambrosia maple, a type of soft maple marked by the ambrosia beetle’s work, which leaves behind the striking streaks that give “wormy maple” its one-of-a-kind character.

Zig-Zag Walnut End Grain Board

6" x 11.5" – 1.25" thick
This was a fun experiment using the outer edge of the tree where the rich heart wood was flanked with the lighter sap wood.

Walnut End Grain Board

9" x 13" – 1.25" thick

One of the handful of walnut boards I created over the years.
