India Series

12" x 24" 2017

A series of woodcut prints inspired by my time in India—an experience I'm deeply grateful for. Each of the three compositions captures street-level scenes from daily life, presented in three distinct color variations.

This work reflects my time in Jaipur, Agra, and New Delhi—cities rich with art, history, and beauty, yet layered with the realities of poverty and overcrowding. Their elegance lies in the striking blend of ancient architecture and modern life. In the streets, a chaotic harmony unfolds—cars, cattle, and people moving in sync through honks and hand signals. Overhead, power lines stretch in every direction, a tangle of connection and energy that mirrors the cities themselves.
